Bampton Short Mat Bowling Club

Bampton Short Mat Bowling Club has been running successfully for over 24 years! The club were lucky to recently be awarded a National Lottery Grant to purchase an electric mat roller. 

New players are most welcome to come and join in, no experience necessary.
This is a very sociable sport, the rules are simple and it is easy to quickly become proficient enough to play an enjoyable game.
It’s gentle exercise, good company and an informal atmosphere.
You do need to wear smooth soled shoes when bowling, but don’t let that deter you…..most of us started out playing in our socks! You’ll soon be hooked and wanting to buy some bowling shoes.

We can even lend you some woods (bowls) to get you started.
The cost of playing (including membership) is just £12 per month.
This includes tea/coffee/biscuits at ‘halftime’

We play every Tuesday at the Riverside Hall in Bampton 
Afternoon session - 2pm till 4.30 pm
Evening session - 7pm till 9.30pm

Come along and see what it’s all about, you can even have a go! There is no obligation to join that first week.
