Plants & Gardens Society
This society organises talks on gardening topics, and some excellent expeditions.
It also provides annual catalogues from seed merchants and nurseries, and by
ordering through the society, substantial discounts (30%) can be obtained.
The Society meets on the second Wednesday of every other month in winter -
7.30pm at the Community Hall.
(Trips usually leave Station Road Car park at 9am, although some more local ones may leave at 9.30am - check with Wendy)
You can see a Slideshows of the Garden Visits we carried out in the last few years - here! ENJOY.

Except for March (Mar 9.30 ) ALL VISITS WILL LEAVE AT 9.00AM. Most visits will be £30 but May’s visit will be £40 as Pentillie charges £16.50 per head for entry /refreshments. May’s trip is also the one which involves the most walking over uneven paths. If you have a National Trust card, please bring it to all trips as we may call in to properties.
Trips include entry, guided tours, and transport (we do not aim to raise any surplus, but simply cover costs, and if costs are lower, the trips could be charged a lesser amount). Of course, the more people who book seats to fill a coach or minibus, the cheaper it is! In order to help our administration and to avoid problems with the coach company, please book well in advance – please find a substitute if for some reason you have to cancel.
