Bampton Conservation: The Churchyard
One area of the Churchyard is preserved as a conservation area to encourage the biodiversity of plants, insects, and small mammals.
It is looked after by a local resident. The area is lightly managed, and only cut back once a year in late autumn after the seeds have dropped.
Below is her list of plants which might be observed there.
Local fauna consists of slow worms, frogs, slugs and small unseen(!) rodents, and a wide variety of birds.
